My husband is retired from the wine business, and I owned and operated a real estate company , Harcourts NW Oregon Realty Group in Silverton, Oregon until retirement 10/2020. We have now moved to St George, Utah. The winters in Oregon get long, cold, and wet. We bought a condo in Misiones in 2004. Since then last year we purchased 1302 due to be lovers of hearing, and seeing the ocean up front. We love the resort. It is not as crazy as the downtown hotels with a lot of partying day, and night. There are a couple little convenience markets in walking distance. You don't HAVE to rent a car. There is bus service from the airport, and taxi service to town. There is a Fresca grocery store about 1/4 mile from the resort. The taxis are expensive, but you can take one in to Walmart or Costco and they will wait while you buy groceries. We sometimes rent a car for just a couple of days to get groceries, and owner tasks taken care of. If you are an adventurer then a car would be necessary for a drive up to Todos Santos, or drive to Santiago and hike to the Valley of the Fox waterfalls. Of course there are championship golf courses nearby; Cabo Del Sol is about 3 miles from us.
